He previously worked as a policy advisor and speechwriter at the CDU party headquarters in Berlin and for the CDU leadership campaign of Friedrich Merz. He holds a BSc. in Government and History from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an M.Phil. in Modern European History from the University of Cambridge, and an M.A. in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University, where he studied as a Schwarzman Scholar.
