Karolina Boronska-Hryniewiecka 

Karolina Boronska-Hryniewiecka Associate Research Fellow at Paris 1- Panthéon Sorbonne, Professor of the University of Wrocław,  Expert of Team Europe Direct Poland

In 2023 she was a member of the CEPS-SWP High Level Group on Bolstering EU Democracy, which published a report entitled "Radicality of Sunlight: Five Pathways to a More Democratic Europe".

In the past Karolina held several research and teaching positions. She lectured at Paris 1- Panthéon Sorbonne (2023-2024) on history and theories of EU integration, at Paris 2 Panthéon Assas (2018-2020) on EU institutions and decision-making and at the Masaryk University (2013-2015) on EU decision-making in times of crisis among others. Between 2016 and 2018 she was head of the European Union Program at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM). She was also a visiting fellow at the Sciences Po in Paris (2019-2020) and a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence (2012-2013).

She has published extensively on EU governance and parliamentary democracy. Her work has appeared in European Political Science Review, Politics and Governance, Journal of European Integration among others. She has also written for EUobserver, Euractiv and Le Grand Continent. Recently she co-edited a book on the Parliamentary dimension of the Conference on the Future of Europe published by Routledge.
