Institut Montaigne’s International Studies Department is looking for a Resident Fellow to join its Europe program to lead and promote the Institute's research on the European Union (with a particular focus on industrial, fiscal, monetary policies and European and international financial regulations). As a Resident Fellow, you will be responsible for disseminating the Institute’s European analysis with relevant audiences in France and internationally, including with senior representatives of governments, international organizations, the private sector, civil society, academia and the media.

Core Tasks
  • Lead the design and implementation of Institut Montaigne’s research agenda on European industrial, economic and financial matters (from initial scoping to final publication) in coordination with the Institute’s senior management team;
  • Strengthen Institut Montaigne’s expertise and visibility on these issues;
  • Develop strong networks with policy-makers, policy experts, business representatives and the media-in France and internationally;
  • Represent and promote the work of Institut Montaigne on European issues in internal and external meetings, including policy dialogues and public conferences; 
  • Organize events and policy dialogues on European economy, finance and industrial matters;
  • Participate in the writing and editing of reports, research notes and commentaries on the European Union.
     
Requirements
  • PhD or Master’s degree (a degree in Economics is preferred but not necessary);
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience; 
  • Perfect bilingual proficiency in English and French (knowledge of German is a plus);
  • Demonstrated interest in French public policies and European affairs;
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills; 
  • Published work;
  • Strong project management skills, professional rigor, ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong desire to build and engage with a network of leading experts, and the capacity to present the Institute’s work on the European Union to top-level decision-makers.
     
Contract and Compensation

Full-time, permanent contract (CDI). Salary commensurate with experience.
