HomeAuthorsThomas Traumann Thomas Traumann Brazilian journalist and independent consultant Thomas Traumann is a Brazilian journalist and independent consultant specialized in corporate communication strategies, image crisis management, and political risk analysis. He is in charge of the interview series Década de Rupturas (A Decade of Ruptures) published by the O Globo newspaper and has a weekly column on politics in Poder360, along with a podcast on Veja's website. He is also an associate researcher at the Department of Public Policy Analysis of Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro and the author of the book O Pior Emprego do Mundo (Planeta, 2018) on the Job of Finance Minister in Brazil. Traumann Graduated in Journalism from Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), and worked for almost 30 years in newspapers and magazines as an editor, and reporter in politics, economics and the environment (Folha de S. Paulo, Veja, Época) before joining the public sector in communications. From 2011 to 2015, he served as the Minister of Social Communications, where he organized the government’s online strategy during the Brazilian World Cup campaign.
