Oleksiy Semeniy

Dr. Semeniy Oleksiy has been the director of the Institute for Global Transformations (IGT) since February 2020 and from January 2013 to June 2019. He graduated from the Institute of International relations at Kyiv T.Shevchenko National University (Kyiv, Ukraine) in 2000 and from the Carl Friedrich Goerdeler College for Good Governance (Berlin, Germany) in 2012. He wrote his PhD thesis at WWU-Muenster (Germany) between 2001 and 2004. Afterwards, he worked in the German Bundestag in the framework of the International Parliamentary Scholarship (2016). His professional experience includes positions at the NSDC of Ukraine, where he was Advisor to the Secretary, at the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, at the legal department of one of the largest Ukrainian financial-industrial groups, and managing positions in several NGOs.
