Benoît Pellistrandi

Historian, member of the Real Academia de la Historia, Madrid

Benoît Pellistrandi (1966), an alumnus of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Ulm), was a member and director of studies la Casa de Velazquez (Madrid) from 1995 to 2005. An expert of political and cultural history of Spain, he is the author of Les fractures de l'Espagne de 1808 à nos jours (Gallimard, 2008) and Le labyrinthe catalan (Desclée de Brouwer, 2019). He teaches history to preparatory students at the Lycée Condorcet in Paris, and is a corresponding member of la Real Academia de la Historia (Madrid).
