How can France become a leader in innovation?
Europe must act quickly to ensure its economic security in the face of current threats. The European Commission has proposed defensive measures, but debates persist about the best approach. How can Europe effectively coordinate its actions to guarantee its economic security, and what role does international cooperation play in this strategy?
The crises that have affected the European Union in the past ten years have put the European ambition to the test. After the migration crisis and Brexit, the European Union is now confronted with an unprecedented pandemic and the return of geopolitical tensions in its immediate neighbourhood. The need for concerted action, guided by a common vision, is necessary more than ever.
To respond to these challenges, Institut Montaigne and the Austrian-French Center for Rapprochement in Europe (ÖFZ/CFA) are organizing a series of four webinars dedicated to the Visegrad Group. The aim of this series is to shed light on the perspectives from Central and Eastern Europe, and to examine more specifically how the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia see the role of the Visegrad Four in shaping tomorrow’s Europe.
The fourth conference will be dedicated to Poland and will take place on April 13 at 6:00 PM (CET).

Discussions will be introduced by Łukasz Jurczyszyn, Director of Brussels Office of The Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM), and Hans Dietmar Schweisgut, Secretary General of the Austro-French Centre for Rapprochement in Europe. Discussions will be moderated by Georgina Wright, Head of Institut Montaigne’s Europe Program.
