The third edition: bouncing back from Covid-19

The Paris Peace Forum is an annual encounter around global governance. Since 2018, it has brought together Heads of State and Government, international organizations, civil society and the private sector to build new forms of collective action. Institut Montaigne, Sciences Po, the Körber Foundation, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs are the six founding members of this international event.

This year, the Paris Peace Forum will mainly revolve around the immediate multilateral response to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the aim to collectively overcome the social, economic and political challenges that this crisis has brought about. Beyond that, this third edition will further the Forum’s guiding mission of building a more sustainable world.

Other global governance issues such as regional dynamics of security, gender equality, education (particularly threats to fragile education systems), biodiversity and the governance of space will also be on the agenda. We can only ensure sustainable peace by addressing global challenges through appropriate and effective global governance.

A 100% digital event

Registration is open to all. Due to the health restrictions, the Forum will be held entirely online. A platform specially designed to replicate the physical experience of the event will allow more than 10,000 participants to follow the debates and explore the 100 international global governance initiatives selected to showcase this year.
