Ewan Gibbs

Lecturer in Economic and Social History at the University of Glasgow

Ewan Gibbs is a lecturer in Economic and Social History at the University of Glasgow where he is a historian of labour, protest, energy and industry. His first book, Coal Country: The Meaning and Memory of Deindustrialization in Postwar Scotland, was published by the University of London Press in 2021. Ewan is now completing a research fellowship studying worker and community perspectives on the transformation of Britian's energy economy since 1945.
